On February 15th, as the delightful two-week camp of touring and studying came to an end, students and teachers from the Wuhan TV Station Yangtze's Youth Ambassadors team arrived at our overseas home - the Consulate General of P.R. China in New York. Accompanying them on the visit to the Consulate General were students and teachers from Conwell-Egan Catholic High School in the United States. Chinese and American students once again had the opportunity for friendly exchanges here!

Meanwhile, the closing ceremony of this camp was successfully held at the Consulate General of the P.R. China in New York. Consul General Huang Ping warmly welcomed the Chinese and American students and encouraged them to both explore the world diligently and remember to spread the excellent traditional Chinese culture when they venture abroad. Assuming the role of youth ambassadors, they carry the mission of promoting Sino-US friendship and building bridges between the two nations. Consul General Huang Ping kindly answered the questions of the youth ambassadors, giving them a sense of warmth and familiarity as if they were back home.

Chinese students Jiarun Dong and Houze Dong, twins, took the stage together to deliver a speech, sharing their insights from this camp. They will always remember this unique experience of spending the Spring Festival abroad, which allowed them to feel the power of Chinese culture and the warmth of home. The youth ambassadors visited renowned institutions like Princeton University and the University of Pennsylvania, along with experiencing the exchange program. This not only broadened their horizons but also provided them with insights into American educational culture. This camp allowed them to experience the charm of different cultures and strengthened their determination to become cultural ambassadors, contributing to the future of Sino-US relations!

In the subsequent talent showcase, attendees enjoyed performances by Chinese students, including Peking Opera and piano recitals, as well as choral renditions of school anthems by American students. Once again, Chinese and American cultures merged and collided in artistic expression. Chinese students also presented handmade crafts representing intangible cultural heritage from Wuhan as gifts to the American teachers and students. This gesture not only conveyed Chinese traditional culture but also affirmed the beautiful friendship between Chinese and American youth!

At the end of the ceremony, the Sino American Busines and Travel Association presented certificates to each of the youth ambassadors and took a group photo to commemorate the occasion. The Consulate General of China in New York marked the perfect conclusion to this study journey!
